Learning progress data including study streaks, completed chapters, and vocabulary mastery levels
Audio recordings when you use the shadowing practice feature (processed locally or sent to your configured AI engine)
Anonymous usage metrics to understand how you interact with the app
Device information including OS version and device model
iCloud sync data stored in your private CloudKit database

Data Usage

We use the collected data to:

Sync your progress across your Apple devices via iCloud
Provide AI feedback on your pronunciation (sent to your configured AI engine)
Improve app performance by identifying and fixing issues
Enhance features based on usage patterns

Data Storage

Local data is stored on your device using SwiftData
Cloud data is stored in Apple's iCloud (CloudKit private database) — only you can access it
AI analysis is processed by the AI engine you configure (OpenAI, Azure, Ollama, or custom) — please review their respective privacy policies
We do not maintain centralized servers storing your personal learning data

We do not sell your data to third parties. Data is shared only:

With Apple iCloud for cross-device sync (governed by Apple's privacy policy)
With your configured AI engine for pronunciation analysis
With Vocnet services if you use the dictionary and vocabulary features
When legally required by applicable law

User Rights

You have full control over your data:

Delete your data by removing the app or signing out of iCloud
Disable AI analysis by not configuring an AI engine
Control sync through your iCloud settings
Export your data through your account settings
